Evelyn V. Silver-Steele, was born July 4, 1958, in Norfolk. She departed this life on Friday, Dec. 30, 2016. She loved life, motherhood, cooking and was all about family.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Mae Silver. She leaves to cherish her memory, her father, Kensie Silver (Barbara); husband, Gary Steele Jr.; sons, LaRon Beddingfield (Melissa) and LaTroy Beddingfield (Tina); baby-girl, Erin Harrell (Roosevelt); and stepson, Gary Steele III.
Her circle of life was completed by her grandchildren for whom she leaves an endless love, Teriana (Alex), LaRon Jr., Ciara, Chloe, Jaquan (Shamarkiana), LaTroy Jr., Raquel, Kamil, Kamryn, Kharynn and Kennady; and great-grandbaby, Malaya. She is also survived by two sisters, Verna and Judy (Ray); one brother, Kenny (Mary); a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, 2017, at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel.
