Brian Todd Sarmiento, 45, passed away Thursday, Dec. 29, 2016.
Born in California, he was a 1989 graduate of Kempsville High School and a 1993 graduate of Old Dominion University. Brian was a Marine Corp veteran and a teacher with Virginia Beach City Public Schools.
Brian was the son of Jose T. and the late Debbie K. Sarmiento. In addition to his father, Brian is also survived by his brother, Brad M. (Kristi M.); and his nephew, Legend.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, 2017, at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5792 Greenwich Road, Virginia Beach, VA.
