Update 3:30 p.m.: Power was restored to historic Yorktown just before 3 p.m., according to York County’s Public Information Office. Government offices will resume normal operations Tuesday at 8:15 a.m.

Thousands of people in the Historic Triangle lost power as a result of Hurricane Matthew and York County’s government offices remain without power according to the county’s Public Information Office.  As a result, the phones are not operational and county offices will be closed until power is restored.

Emergency services remain operational.  York County offices that are without power include County Administration, County Attorney, Economic Development, Voter Registrar, Planning, Community Services Administration, Housing, Treasurer, Commissioner of the Revenue, Utility Billing, Purchasing, GIS/Mapping, Human Resources, and Finance.

WYDaily will provide an update when power is restored to York County offices.
