Welcome to Southside Daily’s weekly look at Virginia Beach’s best high school boys soccer teams according to record.

First Colonial (14-0, 5-0 Coastal): The Patriots clinched the Coastal Conference No. 1 seed with Friday’s 2-1 win against previously unbeaten Ocean Lakes. They can close their perfect regular season with a win against Landstown on Tuesday.

Ocean Lakes (13-1-1, 3-1-1 Coastal): The Dolphins suffered their first loss of the season Friday against the Patriots. They can secure the conference’s No. 2 seed with a win this week against Tallwood.

Cox (9-4, 2-2 Coastal): The Falcons have played the Patriots and Dolphins as well as anyone despite losing 1-0 to each. They earned a crucial 1-0 win against Tallwood on Tuesday and could get one step closer to securing a conference seed if they win Tuesday against Bayside.

Landstown (8-2-2, 1-1-2 Coastal): The Eagles earned their first conference win in a 2-1 overtime triumph Wednesday against Tallwood. They’ll have to upset the Patriots and beat Bayside this week for a chance at the Coastal’s No. 3 or No. 4 seeds.

Kellam (8-2-4, 1-2-1): Kellam needs to win its final two conference games and bank on some help to vie for the final spot in the tournament.

Princess Anne (7-6, 4-0 Atlantic): The Cavaliers have won five games in a row and have dominated their Atlantic Conference foes. Their defense, anchored by standout keeper Duncan Wrenn, is back on par with last year’s dominating stretch.
