A Williamsburg woman’s work photographing architecture won a top award last month from the Virginia Professional Photographers’ Association.

Wendy Bardrof of Bardrof Imaging received the best architectural photograph award for a photograph she took of an organ in Germany.

“It was an honor to receive this award,” she said in a news release. “I am quite proud and pleased that my hard work and commitment to growth as a photographer has led to this recognition.”

Bardrof has worked as a photographer for more than 20 years. Her career has taken her across the globe, including places like China and the Virgin Islands. After working as the primary photographer for Kingsmill Imaging, she opened Bardrof Imaging in January 2014.

The award was presented to her at the Virginia Professional Photographers’ Association annual convention in Richmond. The convention serves as a place for photographers to share their work, and many of the competitors in the convention’s contests send their work to regional and national competitions.
