Seventeen handmade quilts will find new homes through the support of the Woman’s Club of Williamsburg.

The club, a nonprofit that has various philanthropy efforts in the community, donated the quilts to Williamsburg Area Faith In Action for its clients.

Started in 2002, WFIA helps seniors and adults with chronic illness or physical disability live independently in their homes.

The club’s colorful creations will go to those who receive its free services, which include transportation, light housekeeping and yardwork, respite care, shopping and running errands.

In fiscal year 2014, the organization served 567 people and traveled almost 130,000 miles.
