With activities winding down for the holidays, there’s still the chance to finish up some holiday shopping from local farmers, crafters and authors this weekend.

Music
Kevin Bleakley will perform acoustic music Thursday evening at Oceans & Ale. The lives tunes start at 6 p.m.
Thursday is open mic night at Aromas in Williamsburg. Starting at 7:30 p.m., step up to perform or watch from the sidelines.
Markets
The Toano Farmers Market runs year-round, featuring meat, eggs, produce and other goods. It starts at 8 a.m. Saturday at the corner of Forge and Richmond Roads in Toano.
Saturday is the last chance to catch the Williamsburg Farmers Market before 2015. The holiday market, starting at 8:30 a.m. in Merchants Square, will have more than 30 vendors offering produce, baked goods, meats, cheeses and more. There will also be live music, including a bagpipe performance.
Books
On Thursday, John Conlee will sign “The Heater” and Sally Stiles will sign “Plunge!” from noon to 4 p.m. Friday will feature Mac Laird signing “Christanna” from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Barbara Beck signing “The Future Architect’s Handbook,” a children’s book, from 2 to 6 p.m. At the store Saturday will be photographer Magali de Vulpillieres signing “Seasons of Williamsburg” from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Ed Longacre signing “The Early Morning of War: Bull Run, 1861” from 2 to 6 p.m..
The bookstore also hosts a weekly story hour for children at 11 a.m. Saturday. There will be snacks and crafts, along with a story read for visitors.
