Eat a three-course meal next weekend in support a local center that assistants youth facing substance abuse and mental health issues.
The annual Step Up for Bacon Street Fundraiser Dinner will be held Nov. 23 at Center Street Grill in New Town. The meal starts at 6 p.m.
All proceeds support the nonprofit Bacon Street, which since 1971 has worked with young people and families in the area. Its program is licensed and certified as an outpatient substance abuse center by the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health, and uses a family-focused model to treat a range of problems through counseling, education and other services.
The benefit dinner includes a salad and choice of grilled chicken breast, salmon or New York strip, followed by New York cheesecake for dessert. Click here to see the complete menu. Alcoholic beverages are available at an additional cost.
Dinner tickets are $50 each in advance and $55 at the door.
They can be purchased at Bacon Street 247 McLaws Circle or Center Street Grill at 5101 Courthouse St., or by phone at 253-0111.
