A local real estate company owner was honored for her achievements in small business.
On Sept. 23, the Greater Williamsburg Chamber & Tourism Alliance named Liz Moore, President of Liz Moore & Associates, as its 2015 Small Business Person of the Year.
The annual award is chosen from nominations by Alliance members. Nominees must also be members and have been in business for at least three years.
The Alliance gives the honor based on the business’ effect on the community, its employee growth, increased sales, customer service and response to adversity.
Moore opened Liz Moore & Associates in 2003. Since then the firm has grown from 32 agents to more than 100, expanded to a second area office and launched property management and commercial services divisions.
Liz Moore & Associates gives back through service projects for the local military and fundraising campaigns for Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters.
