The Irish Chamber Orchestra (ICO) has gained a remarkable reputation as a fresh and vibrant force on the Irish and international music scene. It excels in a diverse repertoire ranging from classical to modern-day masterpieces and new commissions. Leading the ICO is Virginia Symphony Orchestra Conductor JoAnn Falletta, accompanied by soloists Sir James Galway and Lady Jeanne Galway. An effervescent and exuberant figure on the podium, Falletta has been acclaimed by The New York Times as “one of the finest conductors of her generation.” A living legend with the flute, Sir Galway is regarded as both the supreme interpreter of the classical flute repertoire and a consummate entertainer whose appeal crosses all musical boundaries. One of the leading female flute soloists of the decade, Lady Galway brings to the audience her unique style and elegance.
