York County employees Bo Dixon and Sherman Renfrow were selected as winners of the American Public Works Association Mid-Atlantic Chapter’s awards for customer service.
Dixon was selected for non-public contact customer service and Renfrow was selected for public contact customer service. “York County congratulates Bo Dixon and Sherman Renfrow on their awards and thanks them for their continued exemplary service,” according to a press release about the awards.
The Non-public Contact Customer Service Award recognizes any employee of a member organization that provides continuously outstanding customer service to personnel within an organization providing public works services. Dixon has been employed by York County for over 20 years as Sign Technician and is responsible for the maintenance and fabrication of all county signs including those for street names, buildings/offices, banners, historical way finding, and more.
Dixon consistently receives praise from co-workers and supervisors for his strong work ethic and dedication to his customers, according to the county.
The Public Contact Customer Service Award is presented to any employee of a member organization that provides continuously outstanding customer service to the public. For almost eight years, Renfrow has worked as Facilities Services Supervisor and oversees the usage of the county’s Freight Shed (a banquet/meeting facility) and the setting up of meeting rooms for the county’s Board of Supervisors, as well as managing docking facilities at the county’s Riverwalk Landing.
Visitors using the county’s facilities receive excellent customer service from Renfrow, based on positive comments they have made to the county.
