The Williamsburg Botanical Garden is hosting a class called Barrels and Bins on Saturday.
The Williamsburg Master Gardener Barrels and Bins team will show gardeners how to grow healthy and delicious fresh vegetables and herbs using sustainable and environmentally friendly projects during the program. The team will demonstrate how to build a rain barrel, how to make a composter using readily available materials and how to construct a self-watering container.
The class is part of the Learn and Grow educational series sponsored by the Botanical Garden, and will be held in the Botanical Garden pavilion located in Freedom Park. If the weather is bad, the class will be held in the Freedom Park Interpretive Center.
The program starts at 10 a.m. and is free and open to the public. Barrels and bins will be available for sale on Saturday at the time of the program.
