More than 60 regional childcare providers came to James City County on March 26 for a training conference.
The three-hour conference, sponsored by VCE James City County and King of Glory Lutheran Church, gave these participants the opportunity to take training sessions that included: Making Food Fun; Ready, Set, Grow (about gardening activities); Guiding Your Children’s Behavior; For the Fun of Art; and Environmental Experiences for Early Childhood.
Virginia Cooperative Extension (VCE) is a connection to Virginia’s land-grant universities, Virginia Tech and Virginia State University. The service offers local educational programs based on research and developed with input from local stakeholders in the areas of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Family and Consumer Sciences, 4-H Youth Development and Community Viability.
