WILLIAMSBURG — William & Mary men’s basketball head coach Brian Earl announced the signing of 6-0 guard Jhei-R Jones (Sauk Village, Ill. / Lincoln-Way East / Winona State) to the program for the 2025-26 season.

“Jhei-R gives us a veteran presence to add to the mix in our backcourt and fits the way we want to play,” Earl said. “He is a tough, quick guard who can create for others and is a shot maker. Jhei-R is a former junior college All-American and led that level in 3-point shooting. He also gives us another perimeter player who can defend and create turnovers.”

After two seasons at the Junior College level, Jones played the last two seasons in Division II, helping both Fort Lewis College (2023-24) and Winona State (2024-25) to the NCAA Division II Regional Tournament.
