WILLIAMSBURG — Kingsmill Resort and Christopher Newport University played host to the NCAA Division III Women’s Golf National Championship last week.
Players from Division III colleges and universities around the nation descended on the course from May 13-16 to determine the 2025 national champion team and individual champion.
Teams that earned a championship berth as an automatic qualifier included University of Dubuque, University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, Gettysburg College, Illinois Wesleyan University, Mount Saint Joseph University, Catholic University, Wellesley College, Saint Mary’s College, Alvernia University, St. Catherine University, Middlebury College, Denison University, State University of New York Cortland, Aurora University, George Fox University, University of Mount Union, Washington and Lee University, Westminster College, Rhodes College, Pomona-Pitzer Colleges, Trinity University, Grinnell College, University of Northwestern-St. Paul, Huntingdon College, University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, Amherst College, Carnegie Mellon University, Claremont McKenna-Harvey Mudd-Scripps Colleges, Emory University, New York University, Randolph-Macon College, University of Redlands, Washington University of St. Louis, and Williams College.
Individual qualifiers included Emily Renoff of Bowdoin College, Becky Williams of DePauw University, Erin Donovan of Piedmont University, Emily Gresham of Methodist University, Grace Walker of Centre College, and Amanda Phillips of Wesleyan University.
