(Tribe Athletics)

DANBURY, Conn. — After posting tremendous performances in the William & Mary men’s gymnastics team’s dual meet versus Navy on Saturday, Tribe standouts Evan Wilkins and Luke Tully earned weekly honors by the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC).

Wilkins was selected as the gymnast of the week for the second consecutive week and the third time this season, while Tully garnered rookie of the week accolades for the second time this year. Additionally, the recognition marks the fourth straight week in which a Tribe gymnast has earned the conference’s top weekly honor.

Wilkins highlighted W&M’s individual performers versus the Mids and posted multiple top-three efforts, as he tied for second on parallel bars (13.3) and placed third on floor (13.65) and rings (13.4). All three scores rank as his second-best performances on the events this season.

Tully was the meet’s top all-arounder and tallied a career-best 76.55, while he placed second on floor with a career-high 13.7 and high bar with a 13.25.

After three consecutive outstanding performances, W&M has risen to No. 10 in the national rankings and will return to action when it hosts top-ranked Oklahoma and Greenville for Senior Day at Kaplan Arena on Saturday at 2 p.m.
