Dorsey garnered second team accolades after starting all 31 games and leading the Tribe in scoring at 13.4 points per contest. He is one of the top 3-point shooters in the country, ranking sixth nationally in 3-point % (44.6), 11th in total 3-pointers (99), and 18th in 3-pointers made per game (3.19). His 3-point % also led the CAA. The 6-6 wing upped his scoring average to 14.4 points per game in CAA play, which ranked 16th in the league. The Westminster, Md., native scored a career-high 30 points in the Tribe’s home win over Hampton on Jan. 23, and in the process reached the 1,000-point total for his career. Dorsey ranks 28th in school history in scoring (1,151). He also moved into second place on the Tribe’s career 3-pointers made list (288) and is just six away from the CAA’s career top 10.

Mbeng was also one of the top freshmen in the country in those categories, ranking fourth nationally among rookies in a/t ratio, 15th in assists, and 17th in steals.

Twice in league play Mbeng was named the CAA Rookie of the Week. Mbeng garnered the first honor on Jan. 6 after scoring a career-high 15 points, including 4-of-6 from 3-point range, in a win at Stony Brook. He earned his second weekly honor on Jan. 27 after averaging 7.3 points, 4.3 assists, 2.3 rebounds, and 2.3 steals in a three-game week.

On the season, Mbeng dished out 105 assists, becoming just the fourth Tribe freshman to reach the century mark. His assists total ranks third all-time among Tribe rookies and 24th overall in school history.
