W&M Women’s Gymnastics Earns Season-High Score on Bars at Towson Quad Meet

TOWSON, Md. — The William & Mary women’s gymnastics team posted its best bars score this season (48.275) en route to a fourth-place finish at a quad meet hosted by Towson on Saturday evening.

The host Tigers claimed the team title with a 195.575 and were followed by Illinois State (194.675), Bowling Green (191.575) and W&M (190.650).

Madeline Frazier led the Tribe by tying for sixth on beam with a season-high 9.825, while Michelle Ngo tied for ninth in the event with a season-best 9.775. Ngo also led W&M on floor with a team-high 9.700.

Caroline Blatchford (9.775, season high) and Sarah Wozniak (9.725) recorded top-10 finishes on bars and placed tied for seventh and 10th, respectively.

Samantha Burd recorded W&M’s best score on vault and earned a 9.500.

The Tribe will return to action when it hosts West Chester at Kaplan Arena next Sunday (Feb. 16). In addition to being Senior Day, it will also be W&M’s Women’s Empowerment Meet.
