W&M Men’s Gymnastics Standout Luke Tully Wins High Bar Title at Army Dual Meet

WEST POINT, N.Y. — Freshman Luke Tully highlighted the William & Mary men’s gymnastics team’s performance at a dual meet hosted by No. 8 Army on Saturday afternoon, as he claimed the high bar title with a season-best 13.4.

Although W&M posted the top team score in two events (floor and vault) and season bests in three events, Army won the dual meet, 308.55-299.25. The Tribe’s scores on floor (52.5), pommel horse (47.45) and vault (55.0) were all season highs.

In addition to claiming the high bar title, Tully also placed third on vault (13.85).

Evan Wilkins and Sam Lee placed second on floor (13.25) and vault (14.05), respectively, while Zachary Patrick earned a top-three finish on parallel bars (12.65). Wilkins also registered the Tribe’s top score on rings (12.5).

Jared Noyman and Ricky Pizem led W&M on pommel horse and recorded the squad’s top mark with a 12.2.

Mark Fu was the meet’s lone all-around competitor and totaled a 72.35.

The Tribe will return to action when it competes in a dual meet at Springfield next Sunday at 1 p.m.
