NEWPORT NEWS — Lionsbridge FC secured a commanding 6-0 victory over Ashland Town FC on Saturday night at TowneBank Stadium, thrilling a packed house with a showcase of offensive prowess. The win boosts Lionsbridge’s record to 6-1 overall.
Denis Krioutchenkov opened the scoring in the 5th minute, setting the tone for the home team. Lockie Fay, the Riverside Man of the Match, extended the lead to 2-0 in the 15th minute with an assist from Claudel N’goubou. His header sent everyone home with free Chick-fil-A.
Tre Barrett added a third goal in the 34th minute, giving Lionsbridge a comfortable lead at halftime.
Harri Lovett’s stunning free kick from about 25 yards out in the 68th minute made it 4-0. Dom Foster continued the onslaught with a goal in the 72nd minute, and Kane Ritchie capped off the scoring in the 80th minute, assisted by Isaiah Chisolm.
Lionsbridge FC hits the road this week, facing Charlottesville on Wednesday and Christos on Saturday, before returning home to host D.C. United U23s on June 12.
