DANBURY, Conn. — After an outstanding performance at the USA Gymnastics Collegiate Championship, William & Mary standout men’s gymnast Samuel Smith was selected as the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Specialist of the Week.
Competing for the first time this season due to recovering from injury, Smith earned USAG Collegiate All-America honors on pommel horse after placing fifth with a career-high 13.6.
Smith was one of seven Tribe standouts who combined to earn eight USAG Collegiate All-America honors at the national championship meet.
W&M will continue the championship portion of its schedule when it competes at the Eastern College Athletic Conference Championship hosted by Springfield on April 6.
