COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — William & Mary standout men’s gymnasts Gavin Zborowski and Aidan Cuy highlighted the Tribe’s performances at the USA Gymnastics Collegiate National Championship hosted by Air Force on Friday afternoon, as they both earned All-America honors in all-around.
Zborowski placed third with a 76.15 at the national championship meet, while Cuy finished fourth with a 74.1.
Air Force claimed the team title with a 401.65 and was followed by Navy (398.25), Greenville (390.75), Springfield (388.35), W&M (381.35) and Simpson (358.85).
In addition to the pair of All-America accolades, five Tribe standouts advanced to individual event finals — Garrett Kasiski on floor (13.75) and vault (13.95, season high); Sam Lee on vault (14.25) and parallel bars (13.65); Zborowski on floor (13.55, career high); Samuel Smith on pommel horse (13.5); and Ricky Pizem on high bar (13.5, equaled career high).
Additionally, Zborowski (vault, 13.95, career high), Niko Greenly (rings, 12.75) and Evan Wilkins (rings, 12.65) earned spots as alternates.
The individual finals will get underway on Saturday at 1 p.m. (MT), as the top six scorers in each event will earn All-America honors.
