WASHINGTON — The William & Mary women’s gymnastics team earned its best score of the season en route to a fifth-place finish at a five-team meet hosted by George Washington on Friday evening.
GW claimed the team title with a 196.625 and was followed by Towson (196.600), New Hampshire (195.675), Kent State (195.125) and W&M (193.450).
Madeline Frazier highlighted the Tribe’s individual performances by tying for fourth on beam with a career-best 9.850, while Hannah Burke and Catherine Bare also posted top-10 finishes. Burke tied for eighth on floor by equaling a career high with a 9.850, while Bare tied for 10th on bars with a career-best 9.750. Burke was also W&M’s top performer on vault and earned a career-high 9.750.
En route to posting its best team total of the season, W&M recorded season highs in two events – beam (48.575) and floor (48.475).
