WILLIAMSBURG — William & Mary head men’s basketball coach Dane Fischer announced the addition of Andrew Fish as the program’s graduate assistant.

“We are really excited to have Andrew Fish join our program as a graduate assistant,” Fischer said. “Andrew has a great basketball background both as a player at the Hill School, and as a student manager at Elon. He will have a significant role in player development and will assist with the daily operations of the program.  Andrew is pursuing a master’s degree from the Mason School of Business and will take the lead on a number of our social media projects this season.”

Fish previously worked as a student assistant at fellow CAA program Elon University, including assisting with video responsibilities in 2022. He is proficient in SportsCode and Synergy, handling film for team practices and games along with helping cut coaches film and scouting opponents.

Also, during his time at Elon, Fish organized and worked out players outside of scheduled team practices and assisted with live drills in practice. He was responsible for organizing recruiting trips for coaches at AAU tournaments and hired, trained, and oversaw all student managers for the program.

Over the last two summers, Fish managed and operated summer basketball camps. In 2022 and 2023, he assisted with the Jon Scheyer Basketball Day Camp sessions at Duke. He coached a team and helped run the logistics of the camp. This past summer, he helped manage the daily logistics of the High School Team Camp at Alabama and coached a team for the Nate Oats Summer Basketball Camp.

Fish played in high school at St. John Neumann Regional Academy in Williamsport, Pa., and post-graduate at The Hill School in Pottstown, Pa. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Sports Management and Business Administration from Elon in May of 2023.
