Saturday’s doubles victory by Anna Walter and Alisha Kohli helped Jamestown secure a 5-2 win against Lafayette and claim the Conference 18 championship.

Jamestown controlled singles play, winning four of the six matches against the Rams.

Lafayette stayed mathematically alive in singles play, as Haley Quarles earned a win at No. 2 and Isabelle Gareis won at No. 5.

However, the Rams’ match hopes were cut short as Walter and Kohli cruised at No. 1 doubles to give Jamestown the fifth victory needed to claim the conference title.

Jamestown (12-4) and Lafayette (9-2) both will advance to next week’s Group 4A East tournament.
