York continued its unbeaten start to the season by defeating Lafayette 8-1 on the road Tuesday.
The Falcons swept singles play against the Rams, but did face some challenging sets at No. 2 and No. 6, which went to a third-set tiebreaker.
Doubles featured an unfamiliar situation for York this season as the Falcons dropped their first match of the season.
Lafayette’s Andrew Williams and Davis Hatcher combined to sweep York’s Thomas Bert and Britt Hill 8-0 at No. 3 doubles.
York (4-0) will visit Bruton on Thursday, while Lafayette (3-2) will look to snap a two-match losing streak on Thursday on the road against Grafton.

Bruton Upends Tabb in Narrow Match
Bruton scored a narrow 5-4 win on the road against Tabb on Tuesday.
The Panthers and Tigers split singles play 3-3, with Bruton winning at No. 1, No. 4 and No. 5.
With the match tied, Bruton comfortably won 8-1 at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles to secure the close victory.

Grafton continued its winning streak with a comfortable 9-0 win at home against New Kent on Tuesday.
The Clippers had little difficulty getting past the Trojans in singles, dropping a combined seven games through six victories.
Doubles was more of the same as the Clippers dropped four total games en route to a clean sweep of New Kent.
Grafton (5-1) will host Lafayette on Thursday.

HRA Suffers First Loss of Season
Hampton Roads Academy suffered its first loss of the season on Tuesday, losing 9-0 to Norfolk Academy at home.
The Navigators were unable to find any traction against a talented Norfolk Academy team, which was simply too much for HRA to handle.
HRA (6-1) will visit Peninsula Catholic on Wednesday.
