
Williamsburg Christian Academy dropped its first game of the season on the road 77-68 to Trinity Episcopal School on Tuesday during the Atlantic Shores Christmas Classic.
The Eagles put on a solid offensive performance behind 27 points from Cle’Von Greene, but for the first time all season met their match on the offensive end against Trinity Episcopal.
The game-changing stat was rebounds, where the Eagles were out rebounded 39-22 by Trinity Episcopal. With 12 offensive rebounds for Trinity Episcopal, the Titans were able to log second-chance points.
After dropping behind by one point after the first quarter, Trinity Episcopal pulled ahead in the second quarter to take a 40-32 halftime advantage.
WCA fell behind by 11 points after the completion of the third quarter and were unable to complete a fourth quarter rally attempt.
Xavier Green scored 14 points for WCA, while Andre Brown added 10.
WCA (7-1) will host Hampton Roads Academy Dec. 28.
