Tabb’s volleyball team earned a decisive straight-set victory in the Conference 27 semifinal round over I.C. Norcom on Tuesday.
Led by Abigail Carney’s 21 assists, six kills and five aces, the Tigers cruised past I.C. Norcom 25-7, 25-13, 25-9 on the road.
After predicting a tougher road through the conference tournament, Tabb Coach Mike Honeycutt watched his team dominate I.C. Norcom by double-digits in all three sets.
Tabb (6-14) will prepare for its match in the Conference 27 finals against Lakeland on Wednesday. The Tigers also automatically qualify for the Group 3A East tournament.

HRA Falls to Norfolk Academy in TCIS Tourney
Hampton Roads Academy saw its season come to a close during a 24-26, 25-19, 25-16, 25-18 road loss to Norfolk Academy in the first round of the Tidewater Conference of Independent Schools tournament.
The Navigators started the match on a hot note, edging out Norfolk Academy by two points in the opening set.
Norfolk Academy rebounded over the final three sets, besting HRA by six, nine and seven points, respectively.
HRA finishes its season with a final record of 10-13.
