Jamestown alumna Christina Herbert continues to earn honors for her stellar golfing at Bridgewater College.
Herbert, a sophomore, was named Old Dominion Athletic Conference Golfer of the Week for winning a pair of tournaments.
Other Historic Triangle alumni had standout performances in boys soccer, cross-country, field hockey, football and volleyball.

- Richard Bland College freshman Denzel Speed (Lafayette) logged his first collegiate points as he assisted a goal during an Oct. 16 win against Wake Technical Community College.
- William & Mary junior Reilly Maw (Tabb) scored his first goal of the season during an Oct. 16 loss to UNC-Wilmington.
Cross-County
- William & Mary junior Kurtis Steck (Lafayette) finished 14th in the Christopher Newport University XC Invitational on Oct. 17.
- University of Virginia senior Kyle King (Grafton) finished 77th in the Wisconsin Adidas Invitational on Oct. 15.
Field Hockey
- Old Dominion University freshman Kealsie Robles (York) combined to record six saves during a pair of close losses against no. 7 Maryland and no. 2 Connecticut.
- Lynchburg College freshman Kayla Copeman (Bruton) scored a goal during an Oct. 12 win against Frostburg State. Copeman added two goals during an Oct. 17 rout of Virginia Wesleyan.
Football
- Bridgewater College senior Nicholas Cawthon (Bruton) recorded four tackles during an Oct. 17 loss to Guilford.
- Lackawanna College sophomore Kapri Doucet (Bruton) had a team-high six tackles to go with two sacks and a blocked kick during an Oct. 17 win against Monroe College.
- William & Mary sophomore DeVonte Dedmon (Warhill) caught six passes for 48 yards and a touchdown during an Oct. 17 win against New Hampshire.
Golf
- Bridgewater College sophomore Christina Herbert (Jamestown) was named ODAC Golfer of the Week for winning the General’s Invitational and Bridgewater Fall Invitational.
Volleyball
- Bridgewater College freshman Jenna Hamra (Walsingham) had 21 assists and seven digs during three matches last week.
- University of Redlands freshman Kiersten Langerud (Lafayette) logged nine kills in two losses last week.
- University of West Florida sophomore Monique St. Cyr (Jamestown) posted 114 assists and 37 digs during three matches in the South Region Crossover.
- Methodist University sophomore Maggie Harris (Walsingham) had 25 assists and 14 digs during a loss to Averett on Oct. 14.
- Christopher Newport University junior Briana Sutton (Jamestown) recorded 26 kills and 25 digs during four victories last week.
