The Walsingham Academy volleyball team earned its second win of the season, downing Norfolk College in straight sets 25-16, 25-23, 25-19 at home Friday.
After falling behind 13-11 in the opening set, Walsingham rallied with a 14-3 run to close out the first set 25-16.
Walsingham held a 19-14 lead in the second set before watching Norfolk Collegiate reel off six consecutive points to take a 20-19 lead. Down 23-22, the Trojans won the final three points of the set to save a 25-23 win and move to 2-0 on the match.
The Trojans went up 9-3 early in the third set, but Norfolk Collegiate closed the gap to 12-10. Walsingham responded in kind, taking a 20-13 lead and holding on to secure the final set 25-19.
Walsingham (2-3) will continue its season on the road Monday against Steward.
