Coming off their fifth state championship in the past seven years, Tabb’s field hockey program is pretty accustomed to receiving post-season accolades.
On Tuesday, Tabb’s senior standout Kara Enoch was tabbed as the 4A field hockey Player of the Year by the VHSL. Tabb’s coach Wendy Wilson was also awarded with 4A Coach of the Year honors.
Enoch finished the season with 24 goals and 19 assists, including a hat trick in the state championship game against Maggie Walker. Enoch has signed with Boston University to play field hockey.
The Tigers had five players, Enoch included, earn first-team honors: Bucknell commit MC Evans, senior; Michigan State commit Maddie Vann, senior; Isabella Solaroli, junior; and Courtney King, junior.
Two other Historic Triangle schools, Grafton and Bruton, had players populate the first- and second-team rosters.
Grafton senior goalkeeper MK Harrah and senior Aileen Ahlers were named to the first team, while junior Sydnie Swartwood and sophomore Erin Malone made the second-team roster.
Bruton senior defender Taylor Everette was the lone recipient of first-team honors for the Panthers. Two other Bruton players, seniors Kayla Copeman and Summer Zacharias, were given second-team all-state honors.
