After trailing by two points at halftime, the Bruton Panthers woke up offensively and outscored Jamestown 41-20 in the second half to secure an easy victory Tuesday.

Deandrea Kissoon gave Bruton a spark off the bench, leading all scorers with 16 points in the Panthers’ 61-46 win.

“Deandrea played a real good game today,” Bruton coach Brenner Carter said. “There were a couple of kids who came off the bench and did real well.”

Both teams struggled to score in the first half despite open shots. Connor Swain was a bright spot in the first half for Jamestown (1-3, 1-3) with seven points in the second quarter.

Three-pointers began falling for Bruton as the Panthers took advantage of Jamestown turnovers in transition. A Kissoon 3-pointer with a minute remaining in the third quarter gave Bruton its first lead since the first points of the game.

The Panthers saw offensive contributions from Shaquan Edwards, who scored 13 points, and James Taylor, who added 10.

Swain was the only Jamestown player to finish in double figures with 11.
