In a showdown between two of the state’s best swim programs, Grafton’s boys edged Lafayette 51-43 at Hampton University on Tuesday.
Last winter, Grafton’s boys won the 4A state title while Lafayette’s boys placed runner-up at the 3A state meet.
In the girls’ portion of Tuesday’s meet, Lafayette, which placed third at states last year, prevailed 77-17 over the Clippers.
