Warhill senior midfielder Lindsey Williams, who guided the Lions to one win shy of the program’s second state-tournament appearance in three years this spring, was voted to the Virginia High School League’s 3A all-state first team announced Tuesday.
She was the only local player recognized on the all-state team, which is listed in its entirety below.
Williams, who earlier this year was also voted the inaugural 3A Colonial Rivers Conferene 25 Player of the Year and to to the all-3A East Region first team, led Warhill with 20 goals and seven assists this season while anchoring the Lions attack out of the midfield.
She will join her older sister, Ashley, on the University of Richmond’s women’s team next year.
