Super Bowl champion Richard Sherman of the Seattle Seahawks spends his offseason touring the country and helping others train.

On Saturday he was in Oahu, Hawaii, helping helping his teammate, defensive end Michael Bennett, run his inaugural youth football camp.

His latest stop was William & Mary’s 21st annual All-Pro camp in Williamsburg on Monday.

Sherman, who emerged as one of the NFL’s elite shutdown cornerbacks while helping the Seahawks win their first Super Bowl earlier this year, spent close to an hour interacting with young campers inside William & Mary’s Zable Stadium.

Sherman threw them passes and defended them one-on-one during route-running drills before speaking to the entire group of roughly 80 kids about whatever it is they want to do in life — “whether it’s football or becoming a doctor,” he said — to do it to the best of their ability.

“But most importantly, have fun,” Sherman said as the group huddled at midfield, anxious to ask the All-Pro defensive back about his journey to becoming an NFL star.
