Va. Legacy Announces Tryout Dates for Professional Expansion Team

VALegacy logoThe Virginia Legacy soccer club announced open tryout dates for its upcoming inaugural season in the National Premier Soccer League on Tuesday.

The tryouts, open to all men’s soccer players including current and former college players as well as elite men’s league players, will begin at 10 a.m. Dec. 14 and Dec. 15 at the Warhill Sports Complex in Williamsburg. There is a $25 dollar registration fee, and any player under the age of 18 must have written consent from a parent or legal guardian in order to participate.

“I am very excited to get our initial season underway,” head coach Eric Dutt said in a press release. “This tryout is a great opportunity for players to become part of a team dedicated to playing soccer at the highest level and representing this great community on the field.”

The Virginia Legacy announced plans to field a professional expansion team in June and will kick off its first season in the NPSL next summer.

Regarded as the top men’s amateur league in the U.S. with more than 80 teams nationwide, the NPSL is the largest league of its kind in the U.S.
