Of the six Bay Rivers teams that advanced to the Region I football playoffs, four will be in action to help kick off the postseason this Friday.
In Division 3, co-district champ Lafayette (9-1) earned the No. 1 overall seed as well as a first-round bye along with last year’s D3 champ James Monroe (9-1), seeded No. 2.
Smithfield (9-1), who shared the district title with the Rams, also earned an opening-round bye in Division 4 as the No. 2 seed along with top-seeded Chancellor (8-2).
Below are the brackets for both the Division 3 and Division 4 playoffs. All games will be played at the home field of the higher seeded team.
DIVISION 3
Opening round- Friday, November 9 (No. 1 James Monroe and No. 2 Lafayette have byes)
No. 3 York (8-2) vs. No. 6 Poquoson (4-6), Bailey Field, 7:30 p.m.
