WILLIAMSBURG — Williamsburg residents are set to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research with the 2023 Alzheimer’s Association Walk To End Alzheimer’s on Saturday, Oct. 28.
The walk begins at New Town gazebo at 5150 Main St. in Williamsburg at 8:30 a.m. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. The opening ceremony starts at 9:40 a.m. with the walk beginning at 10:00 a.m.
On walk day, participants will honor those affected by Alzheimer’s in a Promise Garden ceremony — which organizers describe as a mission-focused experience that signifies solidarity in the fight against the disease.
The 2023 Alzheimer’s Association Walk To End Alzheimer’s has set a fundraising goal of $228,000.
