YORKTOWN — Yorktown will host an inaugural vintage-themed market and a classic car show Saturday, May 14, from 8 a.m. to noon as part of its Yorktown Market Days waterfront farmers market.
The Vintage Market at Riverwalk Landing promises upcycled treasures and hard-to-find collectibles, according to a press release.
Meanwhile, The Historic Virginia Peninsula Region of the Antique Automobile Association of America is partnering with York County to present the classic car show on Yorktown’s Historic Main Street. The show is slated to feature 32 fully-restored classic cars, from a 1929 Ford Model A 4-door to a 1990 Chevrolet Corvette, and will include opportunities to chat with the owners.
Both events coincide with Yorktown Market Days, which features local artists, produce, fresh meats, baked goods and more, and has planned special themed markets through December. Live music will be performed by Virginia Shellphish Coalition from 9 a.m. to noon at Riverwalk Landing.
Free parking is available at the Riverwalk Landing parking terrace, York Hall, York-Poquoson Courthouse, County Administration Building, and other designated public parking lots.
The Yorktown Trolley will run from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. with several stops through town and is free. The event will be held rain or shine.
