YORKTOWN — Take a trip to Southern France on Saturday, April 16, without having to leave the Peninsula as Yorktown celebrates its sister city, Port-Vendres.
The annual Sister Cities French Market celebrates more than 20 years of friendship between the two localities and is held in conjunction with Yorktown Market Days.
Festivities will include French music, a wine garden and the opportunity to taste a wide array of French pastries such as macarons, chocolates, breads and beignets.
There will also be a silent auction that allows visitors to bid on items as they shop.
The Yorktown farmers market kicked off its 2022 season on April 9 and it will run almost every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. through the end of October.
Located at Riverwalk Landing, 331 Water St., the market offers people the opportunity to shop for items from local and regional vendors while taking in the natural beauty of the York River.
For more information on the market as well as a complete list of upcoming themed markets such as the Pirate Invasion Market on April 23, please visit the Visit Yorktown website.
