The Gallery at York Hall to Open April 1

YORKTOWN — The Gallery at York Hall, located at 301 Main St., will kick off its 2022 season starting Friday, April 1.

The Gallery, which serves as both a welcome center for visitors and a gathering place for residents, is open to the public between April and December every year. It features the work of hundreds of local artists and artisans along with seasonal exhibits that are themed to highlight the best parts of York County.

Managed by Sharon Owen and her staff of 30-plus volunteers, the Gallery serves as resource for tourists where they can also find brochures, maps, and discounts.

The Gallery also features various exhibits throughout its season. The feature exhibit for April and May will be “Quilts Past & Present”, which will display a wide assortment of quilts from hand-made and vintage to fiber art.

Throughout the summer the Gallery will also feature exhibits from local photographers, authors and historians as well as live acoustic guitar performances by local musician Lou Vangieri.

The operating hours for this season will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
