WRL Hosts Williamsburg Farmers Market 20th Anniversary Exhibit

WILLIAMSBURG — This year marks the 20th Anniversary of the Williamsburg Farmers Market.

To celebrate the occasion, the Williamsburg Regional Library (WRL) has set up an anniversary exhibit that features photographs of vendors from the market. It will also display artwork submitted for the Williamsburg Farmers Market 20th Anniversary Poster Contest.

The Williamsburg Farmers Market is an open-air market that was founded in 2002. According to the Market’s website, “The Williamsburg Farmers Market Features over 40 vendors focused on produce, prepared food, and farm-related products grown or made in Virginia and has been serving between 1,000 and 1,500 people on any given Saturday.”

Every week, the Market also features live music from local musicians and solo artists . Larger bands are typically featured when the Williamsburg Farmers Market hosts special events and festivals.

The Williamsburg Farmers Market will open for its first regular day of the year on March 19, 2022 at 402 W. Duke of Gloucester Street, from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m.

The WRL exhibit hours are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will run until Feb. 25, 2022.
