YORKTOWN — Historic Yorktown is getting ready to morph into a Christmas Wonderland for this year’s Mistletoe Market event, scheduled to take place on Dec. 11 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
On top of the dozens of vendors that are typically on hand to sell their wares, this Yorktown Market Days event will also feature an ice carving exhibition, a Polar Express and a model train exhibit.
At 1:15 p.m. there will be a Toyland Parade. Led by the Fifes and Drums of York Town, everyone is invited to dress up in holiday attire as the merry procession makes its way around Riverwalk Landing.
Admission is free, as is the parking at several lots all over the Historic Yorktown district. The Yorktown Trolley will be available to shuttle visitors to and from the Market during the hours of 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Trolley is free of charge.
As with all Yorktown Market Days events, the Mistletoe Market will be held rain or shine. In the event of rain, the vendors will set up on the lower level of the parking terrace located on Water Street. However, any extra activities are subject to cancelation due to inclement weather.
