Williamsburg — The Ford’s Colony Model Railroad Show is returning to the James City County Library on Dec. 4 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Dec. 5 from 1 to 5 p.m.
The James City County Library and the Williamsburg Regional Library are inviting the community to come out and see the model railroad show produced by the Ford’s Colony Model Railroad Club. The club has been helping to put together the model railroad show since 2005 and features highly detailed model railroad setups.
This year’s model railroad show will also feature a “Winterfest” event on Dec. 5 from 1-4 p.m. Winterfest will offer many other activities including holiday mini golf, barrel train rides, arts & crafts, and virtual reality games. Additionally, there will be a snow machine and a professional photographer to take family photos for free.
The celebration will also feature local musician Joe Duggan who will perform at 1:45 p.m. and again at 3 p.m.
Visitors will be able to visit the historic Norge Depot, which is situated right next to the library. The Norge Depot will be open on both days of the model railway show.
The James City County Library says that families and all age groups are welcome to attend and that admission is free.
