Michael James Boisseau was born on September 27, 1956, to the late Robert H. Boisseau III and Gladys Ohree Boisseau. Michael was the youngest of four children.
He graduated from Open High School for Talented and Gifted Students. Michael worked for his father at the Robert H. Boisseau Oil Company and later as a mechanic for VDOT, moving cars from state to state. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served in the Army National Guard. Michael was very mechanically inclined. He loved working with his hands and could fix anything.
Michael was baptized on February 8, 1984, at the Dill Avenue Church of Christ in Richmond, Virginia. He considered it the most important decision he ever made. Michael later became a devoted member of the Williamsburg Church of Christ, where he served as the deacon overseeing worship, before his health declined. He also taught Bible class and led the Youth Adventures program. Michael loved his church family and serving the Lord.
On August 30, 1978, Michael married his queen Regina Overby. He said that “God had made that woman just for him.”
Michael leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Regina; three children, Robert J. Boisseau, Andrea L. Boisseau, and Trae Shelton (D’Mour); four grandchildren, Lilliana Boisseau, Naevia, Alana, and Riley Shelton; three sisters, Angelette Brown (Randy), Sharon D. Boisseau, and Rene White; very devoted nephews, Che Boisseau (Imani), Kendall Brown, Kenneth Brown, Omar White, and Richard Brown (Sherrie); and a host of other relatives and friends who loved him dearly.
