Christopher Mikel-Noel Dawson, a father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, affectionately known as “Cutty” by many friends, passed away on August 21, 2026. Christopher was born in Richmond, Virginia, on October 19, 2004.
At a young age, Christopher accepted Christ and joined Mount Ararat Baptist Church in Williamsburg, Virginia, where he sang in the youth choir and served on the youth usher board.
Christopher attended Bethel High School and graduated in the Class of 2023. He excelled in academics and shined bright like a star on the football field.
Christopher loved football and basketball. His favorite team was the Philadelphia Eagles. He enjoyed listening to music as well as spending time with his family and friends. Christopher’s proudest moment was the day he became a father to Na’yeli.
Christopher was preceded in death by his sister Charleigh Smith; his grandfather Stephen Dawson; great-grandmother Eva Johnson; great-grandfather Robert Canady; great-grandparents Herbert and Helen Noel.
His precious memories will forever remain with his daughter Na’yeli Dawson; mother Ciara Smith (Derrick Smith); father Stephen M Dawson; grandmothers, Tracy Noel and Karen Johnson; grandfather Victor Noel; brothers Aaron Revelle, Alex Williams, Austin Smith, Derrick Smith II, and David Smith; aunts, TT Dawson, Toni Noel, Nia Joyner, Stephanie Graves, Nicole Dickerson, Tia Byrd, Semaja Ellis, and Alicia Dawson; uncles, Micheal Stanton, Stephen S. Dawson, Laval Noel, and Lamont Noel; godmothers, Angel Evans and Leticia Prince; special friend and mother of his child, Thomia Goolsby; and a host of great-aunts, great-uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends whom had a special place in his heart.
