Elizabeth “Betty” Holman, of Newport News, Virginia, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2026. Family and friends lovingly knew her as Betty.
She was the devoted wife of C. William “Bill” Holman of Rockville, Maryland. Betty and Bill were former residents of Uniontown, Pennsylvania.
Born on August 1, 1929, Betty was the daughter of the late Frank and Sophia Luckaszczyk and the youngest of four children.
Betty dedicated 30 years to education as a teacher with the Uniontown Area School District. She was active in numerous organizations and was a longtime member of St. John’s RC Church.
In addition to her husband and parents, Betty was preceded in death by her brothers, John J. Luckaszczyk, who was killed in World War II; Frank Lukas, CPA, and his wife, Edna, of Uniontown, Pennsylvania; and Dr. Thomas Lukaszczyk and his wife, Dorothy, of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
She is survived by her son, Peter J. Robinson, and his wife, Leeanne; her grandchildren, Ashley Long (Matt) and Aaron Robinson (Mary); and her great-grandchildren, Teddy and Marlowe, who were the apple of her eye. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
