Gerald Wayne Jackson, born on July 30, 1949, in Virginia, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2026, in Hampton, VA, at the age of 77. A man of steadfast dedication and warmth, Gerald leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, and cherished memories.

Gerald spent his early years honing his skills as an apprentice at the Newport News Shipyard, an experience that laid the foundation for his lifelong career as a self-employed plumber. His expertise and reliability earned him the respect and trust of those he served throughout his career.

A proud veteran, Gerald served his country with honor in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Campaign. His commitment to service was a testament to his strength of character and patriotism.

Beyond his professional life, Gerald was an avid golfer, finding joy and tranquility on the greens. His passion for the sport was well-known among his friends and family, who often accompanied him on the course for friendly games.

Gerald was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Ralph Edwin Jack and Avie Christine Wilkerson, as well as his sisters, Edwina Casey and Jackie Del Roso. He is survived by his loving sons, Jacob Palmer Jackson, Larkin Shawn Jackson, and Dwayne Jackson; his devoted daughters, Christy Gay Davol and Kelly Jackson; his daughter-in-law, Jessica Jackson; and his caring sisters, Dottie Henderson and Mary Jenkins. Gerald was also a proud grandfather to Easton Palmer Jackson, Maverick James Jackson, and Alyssa Dawn Deagle, each of whom brought immense joy to his life.

Gerald Wayne Jackson will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his family, his community, and his country. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
