Pamela Morris Clark, 89, passed away August 8, 2026. Pam grew up in Salisbury, NC, the daughter of the late James and Gladys Glenn Morris. She graduated from UNC Greensboro with a BA in Education. Pam began her career teaching at both Salisbury and Langley Air Force Base schools.
After teaching for a few years, she met Lenwood Clark from Hampton, VA. They were married on January 20,1962 and settled in Hampton. Lenwood passed away in 1999 after a career at NASA Langley.
Pam enjoyed working in local politics beginning in the 1970’s. Eventually that led to state and national politics for the next 40 years. Pam worked for Senators George Allen, Paul Trible, John Warner and Governor James Gilmore. She was active with various organizational boards throughout her life: Board of Visitors of both Christopher Newport University and Thomas Nelson Community College; Chair, State Board of Elections; the Hampton Wetlands Board; and Regent, Daughters of the American Revolution.
Pam was preceded in death by her brother, John Morris. Pam is survived by 3 children, Scott Clark, David Clark (Helen), and Kathleen Clark Simone (Frank) and 6 grandchildren, Jessica Clark Eaker who blessed her with 9 great-grandchildren, Jennifer Duell (Alex), Matthew Clark, Lauren Simone, Mia Simone, and PV2 Francis Simone, U.S. Army.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the American Heart Association.
