Debra Renee Buchal, 75, of Williamsburg, VA passed away on August 10, 2026.
Born in Cleveland, OH on January 4, 1951, she was preceded in death by her father, Joe Frank Buchal; mother, Ludmila Mildred Catherine Tuma; and brother, Jeffrey Joseph Buchal.
She graduated from Garfield Heights High School before working as an officer manager for New Horizons Regional Education Center. She loved the challenges of managing busy offices, treasured her interactions with students of all ages, and valued her connections and friendships with coworkers.
Debra enjoyed many types of art, including Scherenschnitte and the performing arts. She had a pilot’s license and loved to go fishing.
Her grandkids, her dog Sadie, gift giving, gardening, chocolate, coffee, and Canadian Geese all made her happiest.
Debra is survived by her son, Nathan Charles Kennedy (Anna Donnis); grandchildren, David Anderson Kennedy and Daniel Paul Kennedy; and her beloved dog, Sadie.
Mom’s wishes were to have no services.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Debra’s honor can be made to the ASPCA.
